During the coronavirus epidemic, instead of in-person meetings, you can participate in online SMART Recovery groups run by facilitators right here in CT. SMART Recovery(R) groups are peer support groups run by trained facilitators. SMART helps you cope with struggles like substance abuse, anxiety, depression, etc. through support and skills building. You will learn tools to manage your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, will get support to make changes in your life, and will make new friends over pizza!

SMART is based on a 4-point program teaching you tools and techniques based on CBT that will help you with: Building and Maintaining Motivation; Coping with Urges; Managing Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors; Living a Balanced Life.

In Person SMART Recovery groups run by facilitators right here in CT. Teens.

SMART Recovery is a free peer support group run by trained facilitators. It is for people seeking support with any struggle they may have: substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bullying, anger management, etc. In addition to getting support from others your age who are dealing with their own challenges, you will learn skills to make positive changes in your life. SMART Recovery tools are based on Rational Emotional Behavior Therapy and will help you with:

Building and Maintaining Motivation
Coping with Urges
Managing thoughts, feelings, and Behaviors
Living a Balanced Life

The Norwalk teen group is run by young adults in recovery. In addition to meeting weekly, we also plan a monthly social activity together. Past examples include ice skating, going to an escape room, clay sculpture, and the beach.
