I recently released my 11th song “Addiction”.
As the title of the song may suggest, it is about an addiction I have been dealing with for over 10 years. It has hindered me a lot and prevented me from accomplishing as many thing as I would have liked to accomplish. I am looking forward to the day where I can be rid of this nuisance once and for all.
I will not share what the actual addiction is, as I do not feel comfortable doing so. The lyrics may hint at one thing, but they may not be as obvious as they seem. Regardless, it would be much appreciated if you could give the song a listen lol.
I started writing this song a couple of years ago. I figured I could try to create some good out of the pain it brings me. While the overall theme has of course remained the same, the lyrics have gone through many revisions.
When I first went to record this track, I was very unsatisfied with my performance. The producer I work with did a great job of mixing and mastering the track, but I just really did not like how I delivered the lyrics, nor how low my energy was. So the next time I went to the studio, I actually rerecorded this song. I am a little happier with how I did, though still not 100% percent. That’s more to do with me being super critical of myself and hating listening to my own voice though.
