Going back to school can bring up a lot of different feelings. You might be excited to see friends again, stressed about classes, nervous about a new schedule, or just not ready for summer to be over and all of that is valid!
Even if it looks like everyone else has it together, a lot of people are figuring things out as they go. We all need connection, people we can laugh with, talk to, and connect with when life feels overwhelming
Supporting a friend can be as simple as checking in, sharing notes or study tips, saving them a seat at lunch, or just listening. You do not need to have the perfect advice. Sometimes knowing someone cares and can make a connection can mean a lot.
Where can I find community?
That is why having a community matters! Our Discord is a chill space to meet new people, talk, laugh, and take a break from school stress. We host game nights, playlist party, drop in peer support hours, group conversations, and more! There are plenty of ways to connect, share your interests, and find community.
Whether you are starting at a new school, going back to one you already know, beginning college, or just trying to get through another busy year, give yourself some grace. Take things one day at a time, ask for help when you need it, and remember that you deserve to feel supported. Finding community in school can look different for all , wether it’s a school club, joining a team, attending an event, volunteering, or talking to someone who shares an interest you have.
As the school year gets closer, let’s look out for each other, online and in real life. Check in on a friend, invite someone to sit with you, or reach out if you need someone in your corner. You can also come connect with us on Discord for game nights, Playlist Party, conversations, and more.
