In Person SMART Recovery groups run by facilitators right here in CT. Teens.
SMART Recovery is a free peer support group run by trained facilitators. It is for people seeking support with any struggle they may have: substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bullying, anger management, etc. In addition to getting support from others your age who are dealing with their own challenges, you will learn skills to make positive changes in your life. SMART Recovery tools are based on Rational Emotional Behavior Therapy and will help you with:
Building and Maintaining Motivation
Coping with Urges
Managing thoughts, feelings, and Behaviors
Living a Balanced Life
The Norwalk teen group is run by young adults in recovery. In addition to meeting weekly, we also plan a monthly social activity together. Past examples include ice skating, going to an escape room, clay sculpture, and the beach.
