Family Support Center (FSC)
The Family Support Center (FSC) is a multi-service “one-stop” program for Family With Service Needs (FWSN)-identified boys and girls, ages 12 to 17, who reside in the Greater Waterbury region. Evidence-based services are provided for youth (and families) to address status-type offenses, including truancy, running away from home, and at-risk behavior beyond control of the parents or school system. The program is designed to stabilize the family unit, identify specific behavior-based interventions for the youth, and to assess and advocate for the child’s educational needs.
It provides a comprehensive counseling, family service, case management, recreational, educational and vocational support system for male and female adolescents at risk of juvenile justice involvement or residential placement.
