Not only is Thanksgiving in November, but this month is also National Gratitude Month. Both of these events bring forth the opportunity to recognize what we are grateful for in the past year.
Two things I want to highlight that I am grateful for this year are:
My Cat
My cat, Gavin, is 18 years old, which is equivalent to 88 years old in human years. He had quite a few health scares last year, and we were worried he wouldn’t make it through this year. Fortunately, he’s still alive and kicking. He has all the necessary medication he needs to make him more comfortable as he continues aging.
Funnily enough, he’s pretty stubborn and keeps trying to do things he was more capable of doing when he was younger like jumping on or across things. His balance isn’t great anymore, so sometimes he slips, but he still tries lol.
Boxing
Many folks who know me, or who have read a few of my previous blog posts will know that boxing is one of the main things I talk about currently. I’ve been training since February, and while lately I haven’t been going as consistently as I’d like to, I still enjoy it very much when I do go. I really want to compete next year, so I need to lock in and increase my consistency.
There have also been a lot of good fights on TV the past few months that I enjoyed watching. There’s many more to come before the end of the year as well, and I’m looking forward to them.
There are many more things I am grateful for, but I wanted to highlight the two things above. What are you grateful for this year?
Happy Holidays!
